personality Davina has the unique position of a relatively popular bookworm. She's intelligent and witty, with a wry sense of humor that can take people a few seconds to understand. If somebody insults her, she brushes it off. If the person really intends to start a fight, however, she can reduce them to a sobbing wreck without even trying. She has creative insults down to a science. Unfortunately, if she's in a particularly testy mood, her friends bear the brunt of this. She's lost plenty of friends because she just "went too far."
Of course, sometimes that was just an excuse. When you're friend is at the top of all of her classes without breaking a sweat, and can out-argue almost anyone, a relationship is bound to be a little strained.

history Davina's childhood was a bit patchy, to say the least. Her father was an ambassador while her sister was growing up; he retired a little before Davina was born. So while she didn't have the same moving-all-the-time drama that her sister had, she had the "oh-daddy-PLEASE-say-you're-not-leaving-AGAIN" drama of her father's business trips. So when she had time to spend with him at all, it was mostly in the company of other adults; most of her dad's friends were either in his line of work, successful lawyers, or politicians. Spending time in such company, she grew up rather quickly.
Of course, her mother kept her grounded; otherwise she would probably have grown up as an outcast, huge vocabulary and all. As it were, her premature maturity was a novel thing when she was young.
Her love of books stemmed from spending long periods of time, either at home or one of her parent's workplaces, stuck waiting to remember that she existed. With a book in hand, time went by much faster, and she stopped minding being alone as much.
