Brett walked into the High Way Cafe, looking for something to do. Her roomate-slash-enemy had kicked her out of the dorm, causing Brett to go hunt for some entertainment. It didn't help that all her friends had gratuated last year, and Callie was busy.
Walking over to a booth, she sat down, and looked around. Nothing too interesting, she thought. She began to run over yesterday's events, thinking back to the guy she had met in the park. I wonder if he has a girlfriend...Brett thought, letting her eyes trail to the jukebox in the corner. She decided to go mess with it, and see what songs there was.

Ellis had been out playing for change in the park. She didn't need it, her parents could pay for anythinga nd everything, but she didn't care. She liked it. She walked into the Cafe and waved hello at her friends behind the counter. She Took the guitar in the back and left it there, she'd come for it in the morning. She knew the people that worked at the cafe and they were more than willing to let her keep it there.
She walked out and headed for the juke box, not really processing the other girl there. She stopped when she finally saw her and looked at the list, then at the girl. "Hey." She grinned.

Brett was flipping through the stacks, looking for something from her generation, when another girl walked up to her. "Hi," Brett said, turning to the girl. Brett thought the girl looked vaguely famaliar, so she added, "I'm Brett."
Brett contuined flipping through the stacks, bored. Finally seeing a song she actually knew, she pressed the button so it would play. Brett started to hum along to the first notes as the song began playing.

Ellis smiled and stuck her thumbs in her back pockets. "I'm Ellis." She stopped saying her full name a long time ago, people couldn't remember it anyway. She shook her hair back and looked at the song. "Ooh I love this song!" She cried, singing along for a bit.
"Hey do you go to Billings?" She asked. it was a slim chance that she happened to find someone else who went to the school her parents were paying throughthe nose for.

Brett grinned when the girl started singing along. "Billings. Yeah. And I have the roomate from hell," She said, complaining a bit. She hated Tinsley, and was begging the headmaster for a room switch, but so far that was a no-go.
Brett waited until the song was finished, before picking one at random. She didn't reconize it, but decided to sing along anyway. She got almost all the lyrics wrong, but it was still fun to sing at random like that. Turning to Ellis, she said "Sorry, I just love to sing," with a grin.
ooc; lmao i had to experiment with fonts XD
